These Terms govern your use of the Shreeli mobile application and website. By creating an account you accept them in full.
Read section 6 carefully. Travelers carry goods across an international border in their own name and are legally responsible for what is in their luggage.
1. What Shreeli is
Shreeli is a marketplace. We connect buyers in Morocco who want items from abroad with travelers already flying into Morocco who have spare luggage capacity.
We are not a seller, retailer, importer, freight forwarder, customs broker, or carrier. We do not own, inspect, handle, or transport any item. The contract to buy and carry an item is formed between the buyer and the traveler. Shreeli provides the platform, the payment mechanism, and the dispute process.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. You must provide accurate registration details and complete identity verification before transacting. One person, one account.
3. Accounts and verification
You are responsible for your login credentials and for everything done through your account. Verification requires a government identity document and a selfie; we may refuse or revoke verification at our discretion. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, shows signs of fraud, or creates risk for other users.
4. Orders, trips, and offers
- A buyer publishes an order: the items wanted, where they can be bought, the destination in Morocco, a deadline, and the reward offered to the traveler.
- A traveler publishes a trip and may send an offer on an order.
- When a buyer accepts an offer, a binding agreement is formed between those two users on the terms shown in the app at that moment.
- A group run lets several buyers join one traveler’s store-specific run. Each buyer’s agreement is separate.
Listings must be accurate. Buyers must describe items clearly and provide correct delivery details. Travelers must not publish trips they do not intend to take.
5. Prices, rewards, and fees
Prices are shown in the currency you select in the app; the underlying amount may be converted at the rate in force when you pay. Conversion is indicative and may differ slightly from your bank’s rate.
The buyer pays the item cost, the traveler’s reward, any additional fees agreed in the offer, and Shreeli’s service fee as displayed before payment. We may change our fees, but never for a transaction already agreed.
6. Customs, duties, and prohibited goods
This section is the traveler’s responsibility to read.
- The traveler is the person declaring the goods at the border. The traveler is solely responsible for complying with Moroccan customs law and with the law of the country of departure.
- Never accept an item you have not seen and cannot verify. You are legally accountable for the contents of your own luggage.
- Import duties, VAT, and any customs charge are the buyer’s responsibility unless the two parties agree otherwise in writing in the app’s chat. Travelers should not pay duties out of pocket without agreement.
- The following may never be requested or carried through Shreeli: narcotics and controlled substances; weapons, ammunition, and their parts; explosives and flammables; counterfeit goods; living animals; human remains or biological samples; cash or bearer instruments above the legal declaration threshold; prescription medicines without valid documentation; goods restricted or banned under Moroccan import rules; and anything else illegal in either country.
- Either party may cancel without penalty if an item turns out to fall in the list above. Report it to us immediately.
Shreeli does not inspect items. We give no advice on customs classification and accept no liability for seizure, fines, or penalties applied to a traveler or buyer.
7. Payment and release of funds
Payment is taken when the buyer accepts an offer and is held until delivery is confirmed. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Funds are released to the traveler when the buyer’s single-use delivery code is entered at handover, or when a dispute is resolved in the traveler’s favour. Handing over the code confirms you received the items.
Do not pay or accept payment outside the app. Off-platform payment removes every protection here, including the held funds and the dispute process, and may result in account closure.
8. Cancellations and refunds
- A buyer may cancel free of charge before a traveler has purchased the items.
- Once the traveler has purchased the items, the buyer is liable for the item cost. The reward may be reduced or waived depending on how far the delivery has progressed.
- A traveler who withdraws after acceptance without good reason may have their rating affected and their account restricted. The buyer is refunded in full.
- If a trip is cancelled by the airline or for another reason outside the traveler’s control, the buyer is refunded any amount not already spent on items.
Refunds return to the original payment method and may take up to 10 business days to appear.
9. Disputes between users
Raise a dispute in the app within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery. Both sides submit evidence — receipts, photos, chat history. We review and decide how the held funds are allocated. Our decision on the release of held funds is final as an internal matter; it does not remove your right to go to court.
10. Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on a real transaction. We may remove reviews that are abusive, contain personal data, or are placed to manipulate ratings.
11. Prohibited conduct
Do not: impersonate anyone; use another user’s account; harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; post false or misleading listings; move transactions off-platform; scrape or reverse-engineer the service; or use Shreeli for money laundering or any other unlawful purpose.
12. Our liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by Moroccan law:
- We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any user, for the quality, legality, safety, or delivery of any item, or for whether a user actually performs.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total fees you paid to Shreeli for the transaction in question.
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Indemnity
You will indemnify Shreeli against claims, losses, fines, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of customs or import law, or an item you requested or carried.
14. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time — see Delete my account. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these Terms or where required by law. Obligations arising from transactions already in progress survive termination.
15. Changes
We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Shreeli after that means you accept the new version.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Kingdom of Morocco. Disputes fall to the competent courts of Casablanca, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings in your own place of residence.
